The touring team will fly first to Berlin to perform L\u2019affadissement du merveilleux at the Tanz im August festival from August 9 to 11, 2019. It will then make its way to the Brigittines International Festival in Brussels for shows on August 30 and 31, followed by a performance in Hanover as part of the TanzTheatre International on September 2.<\/p>\n

L\u2019affadissement du merveilleux<\/strong><\/p>\n Humanity, but taking several steps backwards. A gaze free of affect focused on the life-giving impulse that drives humanity and its obsessive cycles. Performed by five dancers, L’affadissement du merveilleux is a swirling succession of non-stop recurrences \u2013 births, deaths, rebirths \u2013 a dizzying attempt to portray that which transcends us. Catherine Gaudet is interested in cycles as a universal structure. To give them tangible shape she uses the circular form \u2013 spatial, internal, instinctual \u2013 as a backdrop.
